Raed Yassin

Raed Yassin will produce a radio programme called 1001 nights with dj hamada boy, presenting a rare collection of tunes from the Middle East and North Africa, which are either covers of occidental songs or Arabic songs that used foreign languages or forms of music. Spanning from Shikoko’s cabaret songs that that made fun of English soldiers, early Algerian prototype Rai sung in a hybrid French/Arabic, Western Sahara music influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Middle Eastern surf, hully gully, to sixties psychedelic Arabic rock. 

Raed Yassin will also play the role of weather forecaster in The Immigration Forecast. The imitation show will map so-called illegal immigrant’s movement through the Mediterranean and will be presented on Murcia TV Channel 7.
